This policy summarizes how Square Menu handles account, menu, order, support, billing, and public publishing data.
Data We Process
We process account and staff profile data, business and branch settings, owner-entered menu content, product images, public menu publishing data, online order contact details, table or bill request details, audit logs, support messages, session cookies, and technical logs needed to operate the service.
Owner-Entered And Customer Data
Businesses decide what menu, price, allergen, image, branch, and contact information they enter into Square Menu. Customer online order records may include name, phone, address, notes, tracking codes, order items, and operational status. The business remains responsible for using that customer data lawfully in its own operations.
Billing And Processors
Paid subscriptions may be processed by Lemon Squeezy. Square Menu may also use infrastructure and service providers such as Firebase/Auth/Storage, Google Cloud or App Hosting, PostgreSQL hosting, email delivery providers such as GoDaddy SMTP when enabled, and analytics or monitoring tools when configured. These providers process data only for service, security, billing, support, and operations purposes.
How We Use Data
We use data to authenticate users, provide dashboards and public menus, route QR and online order requests, support custom-domain verification, manage subscriptions, prevent abuse, debug errors, maintain audit records, send service notifications, and improve reliability.
Public Menus And Indexing
Public menu pages can be visible to anyone with the link. Our legal/policy recommendation for tenant-generated public menus is default noindex, follow until a business explicitly opts in to public indexing. Robots rules are not a privacy guarantee, so businesses should avoid publishing personal data they do not want public.
Retention And Rights
We keep data for as long as needed to operate the account, provide order history and audit trails, meet legal or tax obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security. Businesses and users may request access, correction, deletion, or export through the available support channel, subject to identity checks and applicable retention obligations.
No Sale Of Personal Data
Square Menu does not sell personal data. If analytics, advertising, or partner integrations are added later, customer-facing disclosures and consent controls should be updated before launch.
